Founder & President, Jill Kushner Bishop, PhD
Jill Bishop is an accidental entrepreneur who has been fascinated by the connections between language and culture since she was a teenager.
Jill earned her MA and PhD in Linguistic Anthropology from UCLA, where she focused on efforts to prevent the obsolescence of Judeo-Spanish, a language currently spoken by descendants of the Jews who were exiled from Spain in 1492, and she earned her BA in the Teaching of Spanish from the University of Illinois. She has lived and worked around the world and lectured extensively on issues of language, culture and identity. Prior to starting her business, Jill was in charge of Culture and Language Programs for over a hundred Chipotle Mexican Grill locations.

Hilary Hodge, Operations Director
Hilary has been passionate about language since she was a child. She attended Kenyon College in Ohio where she earned a BA in Spanish, Italian and Philosophy. She then received an MA in Linguistics and TESOL from the University of Florida. For the past decade, she has taught on-site workforce English language classes for construction, hospitality, home health care and restaurant properties. She worked for Oxford University Press for four years in the English Language Division teaching division. She now spends her time directing the Workplace English and Spanish language training services offered at WLS.

Meredith Veto, Senior Translations Manager
Meredith attended Guilford College in Greensboro, N.C., where she earned a BA in Spanish with a concentration in Communications. She came to WLS after working as a reporter and web editor for the most widely circulated English-language newspaper in Mexico. She now spends her time managing our multilingual translation and transcription clients, as well as contributing to our blog.
